Characteristics and advantages of ceramic fiber lining for industrial kilns
01. Industrial furnace ceramic fiber lining has small bulk density and light weight
The density of refractory bricks is generally 2000~3000Kg/m³, while the specific gravity of refractory fiber modules and folding blocks is 220Kg/m³, and the bulk density is less than 10% of traditional refractory bricks. When forming a refractory furnace wall, the weight of the full fiber furnace wall is only 7% of the weight of the refractory brick furnace wall.
02. Industrial furnace ceramic fiber lining has low heat storage loss
Before and after the energy-saving transformation of a small heat treatment furnace, it was found that the heat storage loss of the refractory fiber furnace wall in one production cycle was only about 5% of the heat storage loss of the traditional refractory brick furnace wall.

The heat loss of the ceramic fiber lining of an industrial furnace is about 2449KJ/m3.h, while when the furnace temperature is the same, the heat loss of the refractory brick furnace wall is about 4961KJ/m3.h. The heat loss of the refractory fiber furnace wall is 49% of the heat loss of the traditional refractory brick furnace wall.
04. Ceramic fiber lining of industrial kilns has good energy saving effect
Since the refractory fiber furnace lining has a small bulk density and good heat insulation effect, its heat storage loss and heat dissipation loss are significantly lower than that of the refractory brick furnace wall. According to actual measurements by many users, for intermittent heating furnaces, the energy saving rate of the refractory fiber furnace wall is about 20%~35% compared with the traditional refractory clay brick furnace wall. Its annual energy saving cost is quite considerable.
05. Industrial furnace ceramic fiber lining has good sealing performance
High-quality furnaces have very high requirements for furnace sealing, because furnaces with poor sealing will cause poor furnace temperature uniformity, high heat consumption, and poor heating quality. The compression-molded refractory fiber furnace wall has great air permeability resistance and good sealing. The relatively moving parts of the refractory fiber furnace wall (furnace door and door frame, trolley and furnace body) adopt an elastic soft seal automatic compression structure to make it reliable in sealing, effectively prevent the heat and smoke from overflowing when the furnace is opened, improve furnace temperature uniformity, save energy, extend furnace service life, improve the operating environment, and improve heating quality.
06. Industrial furnace ceramic fiber lining maintenance is simple and convenient
Refractory fiber is soft and easy to process, so the maintenance of refractory fiber furnace wall is also very simple. The damaged part of the furnace wall only needs to be partially removed and then repaired with new refractory fiber. Therefore, as long as the operation engineering is trained and guided, it can be repaired by itself, and no special furnace construction workers are needed.
